Charisma Carpenter will reprise her role as Lacy (Jason Statham's girlfriend) in The Expendables 2, the sequel to the successful 2010 movie The Expendables, the Spanish actress tells Latina.com exclusively.
On the list of "manly" sports, tennis doesn't really rank towards the top of the list. Sure, the athletes in the sport are some of the most physically capable in the world (do you have the strength to hit a serve 155 mph?) but are still placed behind the men who professionally play football, basketball, hockey and baseball. But how many active players in those sports have a role in a movie alongside Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, and every other major action star from the last 30 years?
Back in May, a spoiler-filled synopsis of The Expendables 2 started making the rounds indicating that the plot will revolve around the murder of Tool, “the heart and soul of The Expendables” played by Mickey Rourke. Whether the movie, now directed by Simon West (The Mechanic) instead of the first film’s helmer, writer and star Sylvester Stallone, goes down that route or not, Deadline reports that Rourke will not be involved.Borisov and Schwarzenegger met Monday at the Nu Boyana Film Studios, where "The Expendables 2" is being shot. The meeting was also attended by Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov and Bulgarian football star Hristo Stoichkov.

"Something long-forgotten has happened - film tickets get sold out, theater-goers have to wait for 2-3 months to be able to see a performance. A very good generation of Bulgarian actors is growing up, Bulgarian TV series are experiencing a revival, and your presence here helps to draw even more attention to Bulgarian cinema", Borisov stated.
Borisov explained that, by sharing their impressions of Bulgaria, celebrities like Schwarzenegger and his colleagues altered foreign stereotypes of the country and brought it new fame.
In the course of the talks, Schwarzenegger showed interest in visiting the excavation works for the construction of an underground history museum in downtown Sofia displaying the city's ancient and medieval history.

Prior to the first Expendables, we reported that Stallone had been rebuffed by Van Damme when he offered him a part in the all-star cast, which included Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, and a who’s who of other hulking he-men. But now the Muscles From Brussels is saddling up. “We’ll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one,” says Stallone, who heads to Bulgaria at the end of this month to start shooting.
If you aren't familiar with Donnie Yen, you may remember him from films like Blade II and Shanghai Knights a few years back. However, it is more likely that if you are a fan martial arts films that you would know him more from his IP Man films.
John Travolta and Chuck Norris are said to be joining the cast of The Expendables 2.
David Varod, the head of the Bulgaria-based NU Boyana studios - where the movie will shoot - claimed that the two actors will be starring in the follow-up to last year's ensemble action film.
Its being reported this afternoon that Jean-Claude Van Damme has been confirmed as one of the main villains in The Expendables 2 movie.Sylvester Stallone has revealed that he is working on Expendables 2.
Stallone directed as well as starred in last summer’s hit movie which brought together an impressive cast of Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Bruce Willis.
Since the movie topped the box office there has been talk of a sequel and Stallone revealed that he is currently working on a second film and trying to find a balanced story.
Speaking on CNN Stallone said: "We're at work on it.
"Because you have about five different scenarios, and you try to figure out which one will work the best: what area, the kind of stunts, and most important, what is the heart of the film?
"What is the reason for the mission instead of just guys running around? Some purpose, that's the hard part."

"Stallone needed three '55 F-100's, but they're so rare that we couldn't find them in time," added Friedlinghaus. "So we started with three pretty sad 1956 models and worked 24-7 to make them look like a custom '55. "Source - comicbookmovie.com
80s action legend Chuck Norris is on a “wish list” for the sequel to The Expendables according to one of the film’s stars.
Dolph told Upbeat Productions:
Chuck Norris is on my wish list. He’d be great as a General or something like that.
I’m not privy to who didn’t sign for the first one and for what reason and all of that because Stallone was the one who hired people but Jean Claude (Van Damme), who I have worked with before and is a nice guy, was asked and (Steven) Seagal didn’t want to do it but maybe he’ll be in the sequel.
The action star’s also told Upbeat that The Expendables is one of the few films he’s made that he feels naturally deserves a sequel. Dolph explained,
The Expendables lends itself to a sequel or sequels very nicely. Back in the 80s when I did action movies like The Punisher and all that they didn’t lend themselves to sequels very well.
He added jokingly,

On Friday, I (Alex) had the chance to speak to Dolph Lundgren (The Punisher, Rocky 4, Universal Soldier) in an exclusive interview about "The Expendables" (in stores on DVD and Blu-ray on November 23rd), and asked him the many questions WP users had for him. Read the Q&A below, which includes questions about whether he would be able to beat up Jet Li in real life and who he would like to see brought on for "The Expendables 2."
